The partners of the LivableCities project met in Saarlouis (Germany) on 20 and 21 May for their first in-person Consortium Meeting.
Two days of discussions under the German sun gave consortium members the chance to get to know one another, strengthen their collaboration and define the next steps for this European project, which will run until June 2029. ☀️
The meeting also provided an opportunity to take part in a press tour of the city of Saarlouis. The partners were thus able to discover several Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) solutions already implemented by the city. These innovative developments aim to enhance the area’s climate resilience, restore biodiversity, improve air quality and provide a more pleasant living environment for residents. 🌿
This first in-person meeting marks an important milestone in the launch of the LivableCities project and lays the foundations for an ambitious collaboration aimed at creating more sustainable, resilient and livable cities.
